Morgan is an artist and graphic designer from North Carolina. She originally earned a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, but knew that art was her passion and returned to school to complete her degree in Advertising and Graphic Design in 2022. Since completing her degree, she has worked with Girl Scouts of the USA as well as the international nonprofit, DKMS. In her spare time, Morgan loves to draw and paint subjects with as many colors as possible. She displays her original art as well as prints, greeting cards, and stickers at art shows throughout North Carolina. This is Morgan's first full length illustration project to be published and she is thrilled to bring all of her experiences together in this piece.

Mapping out the page is always my first step in any project. Once I've sketched my subject, I always begin with the eyes. I find the eyes to be one of the most important parts of my art, because of the detail and emotion I can put in them. From there, I slowly add details in layers to work my way out from the focal point of the eyes. I focus on small areas at a time so I can really see the piece come to life.
Dance has recently become a bigger part of my life as my toddler loves to find new ways to be creative through dancing and movement. I love seeing her hear a particular song play and just have to get up and dance. She loves seeing my art and always wants to wear her tutu to match the alpaca ballerinas she sees me drawing for this book.
Thankful for her daughter's enthusiasm for all of her artwork
