Information for Authors & Illustrators
We accept manuscripts in the following categories:
- Children's Literature: Including picture books, early readers, chapter books. Linden Street Press looks for stories and poems that captivate young readers, inspire imagination, and explore themes related to ballet.
- Young Adult Literature: Including fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels. Linden Street Press looks for engaging narratives that resonate with tweens & teens and explore the world of ballet.
*Special Consideration
We strongly encourage submissions from authors and illustrators with a background in ballet. Whether you're a current or former dancer, your insights and experiences enrich the literary landscape we are creating. Additionally, we are committed to amplifying underrepresented voices within the ballet community.
Submission Process
Include a cover letter in the body of the email that introduces yourself and explains why your work (manuscript or portfolio) aligns with our vision.
AUTHORS: All manuscripts should be submitted as Word, Google Doc, or pdf.
ILLUSTRATORS: Include a link to your portfolio in your cover letter.
